Sustainability Mission Statement
Young Artist Project: Claudia Giugni
This digital and interactive program is a pilot project and collaboration between the USC Opera Office and one of our very own USC Vocal Arts & Opera students Claudia Giugni. As a senior and music industry minor, Claudia has dedicated her Young Artist Project towards an initiative with Thornton to serve the university's sustainability goals to no longer print boxes and boxes of paper programs that tend to go unused and to waste, commonly without proper recycling. Claudia's mission to reduce paper waste and our university's carbon footprint has only begun with our fall opera production and she hopes this will inspire the rest of Thornton to explore beyond the page and what a music program means to them. With this site, we bring you a deeper look into our artists, various behind-the-scenes features & media and encourage you to "program the physical program!"
